The importance of elections cannot be overstated. Some, however, are potentially of more importance than others. A much lower percentage of Americans typically vote in midterm elections but results of the 2022 midterms, given the percentage of candidates who have stated their personal distrust of the election system, might have extremely important implications for the future of democracy in our country.
